慶州に着いた (I arrived in Gyeongju.)

１１月２日(水)　【旅 ６７日目　韓国１３日目】

 

 

今日は、蔚山(ウルサン)の川に架かる橋の下での目覚め。

 

 

【河川敷でのキャンプは、トイレも水も屋根もある】

 

Last night, I stayed at a parking lot under a bridge in Ulsan.

It's good to stay at a riverside because normally there are toilets and water taps there in Korea,like it does in Japan.

 

昨日、２箇所パンクしたうちの一箇所をまだ直していなかったので、

 

朝起きて、まずはパンク修理。

 

 

パンクを直したら、川の北側へ進んで、

 

一つ目の商店街で遅い朝食を食べ、蔚山(ｳﾙｻﾝ)を出発した。

 

 

I fixed a flat tire I got yesterday,then left Ulsan.

 

 

今日の目的地は、慶州(ｷｮﾝｼﾞｭ)。

 

キョンジュは、蔚山から７号線で４０ｋｍほど先にある街。

 

新羅という統一王朝が栄えた約千年の間、

 

ずっと朝鮮の都であり続けた、歴史のある街だ。

 

日本で言えば、京都・奈良というところ。

 

見所の多そうな街である。

 

Today's destination was "Gyeongju" city.

Gyeongju got to be a capital of Korea from about 2000 years ago.

It had been a capital for about 1000 years from then.

It has long history and historical places.

It's like "Kyoto"in Japan. 

 

 

そのキョンジュの１５ｋｍほど手前に、

 

『仏国寺』(ﾌﾞﾙｸﾞｸｻ)と『石窟庵』(ｿｯｸﾗﾑ)があり、

 

世界文化遺産に登録されている。

 

 

１３００年近くも前に彫られた、石のブッダ像が見たくて、『石窟庵』へ行ってみた。

 

 

There is a temple in a mountain in Gyeongiu..

The temple has a statue of Budda which is made of a rock (Seokgram).

It's a caltural world heritage.

I went there to see it by shuttle bus..

 

 

吐含山(ﾄﾊﾑｻﾝ)の山中にある石窟庵へは、

【山の上は、ところどころ紅葉がきれい】

 

Some leaves turned red and yellow.

 

 

ここは移動教室の定番の地らしく、小学生らしき子たちがたくさん来ていた。

 

小学生の集団を見る度に、懐かしい気分になる。

 

旅が終わったら、また教員に戻りたい。

 

I saw a lot of children was coming with their teachers.

It reminded me of my working days as a teacher.

I wished I can be a teacher again when I finished traveling...

 

 

 

肝心の石で彫られたブッダ像は、撮影禁止だったのが残念だけど

It was not allowed to take a photo of the Seokgram.

 

１３００年もあの姿のままで、ずっとここにあるのだと考えると、

 

崇め続けてきた歴史の重みと、技術力の高さを感じて感動した。

 

特定の宗教に関する信仰心は全くないけど、

 

とにかく、

 

歴史のある人工物をみると、いつも感動できる。

 

 

『石窟庵』(ｿｯｸﾗﾑ)にも見に来てよかったと、満足できた。

 

I'm not a religeous people.

But I would always be touched by watcing an old religeous buildings.

Seokgram (the statue of Budda) was awesome.

It looked too beautiful to be constracted 1300 years ago.

I was happy to see that.

 

 

 

 

途中で道を間違えたおかげで、そのまま吐含山(ﾄﾊﾑｻﾝ)に登ることになり、

 

【思いがけず、登山も楽しめた♪】

 

山登りは、やっぱり気持ちがいい。

 

Then I enjoyed climbing the mountain to it's peak.

I like climbing very much.

 

 

 

暗くなり始めた頃、山を下りて急いで慶州の街まで走り、

 

飯屋と寝床を探しがてら、いつものようにしばらく街を散策した。

 

 

慶州の街は、釜山や蔚山のような都会的な雰囲気ではなく、ちょっと落ち着いた感じ。

 

街中に自転車道があって、走りやすかった。

 

 

街のあちこちに、こんもりした小さな山のような古墳が点在しているのには驚いた。

 

 

地図を見ると、街中に遺跡があって、明日はどこを見学しようかと迷ってしまう。

 

楽しみだな。

 

 

After that, I cycled to Gyeongiu city area.

It is not so busy area, much calmer than Busan and Ulsan.

And the city has a good bike pathes in a middle of city.

 

And what surprised me was...old tombs are everywhere in the city.

It looked just a small mountain(or hill).

 

I like the atomosphere of Gyeongiu city.

 

 

今日も、川沿いに人気の少ないスペースを見つけて、

 

テントを張ってキャンプ。

 

 

明日も慶州に滞在して、いろいろ見て回ってみよう。

 

 

まだそんなに寒くない。

 

もうちょっとのんびりしてても大丈夫だろう。

 

 

I set my tent up at a riverside in Gyeongju.

It was still not so cold here.

I think I would stay in Gyeongju a few more days.

【韓国の"びっくり"】

 

今日の朝、朝食を食べようと

 

 

【屋台へ行ったら、】

 

 

【見慣れない食べ物があった。】

 

I found a strange food in a stall in this morning.

 

 

 

「これは何ですか？」

 

 

と聞いたら、

 

I asked to the clark what it is.

 

 

 

「dog.」

 

 

という予想外の返答。

 

The answer was "Dog"!

 

 

へ？

 

 

犬？？

 

 

「ケ？」("犬"という意味)

 

 

と聞き直すと、「そうだ。」とのこと。

 

 

意外な食材に驚いたけど、迷わず注文して食べてみた。

 

 

甘い。

 

またびっくり。

 

 

小麦粉か米が入っているのか、モチモチしていて食感は餅のようで、

 

甘さと、肉の味がほんのりする。

 

 

まずくはないけど、おいしくも…

 

It was sweet,but also tasted like a meat.

And the texture was chewy...

 

 

 

"スゥス～"という名前らしい。

 

 

マズくはないけど、一度でいい感じ。。。(~~;)

 

 

It's name was "Sue　ｓue".
It's not taste bad, just a little bit strange...

I don't think I would  eat that again.
