5月14日(月) 【旅261日目 中国137日目】
現在、ベトナムまであと400kmくらい。
盗難事件以来、進むペースは快調だし、いい人との出会いも多いし、
旅はとても順調であります。
I'm in a city which is about 400km away from the border to Vietnum, at this moment.
Constantly, I've moved 100km everyday.
And I've met lots of nice people for last 1 week.
Rrecently, everything has been very good.

気づけば、5月になってしまった。
まだ中国に入るということに、焦りを感じていた。
It's already May.
And I'm still in China.
I think I've been traveling "too" slowly.
数えてみると、東京を出てから今日で248日が経ち、
その半分は中国にいたことになる。
中国の旅が、こんなに長引くなんてなぁ。
It's been 248 days since I left my home in this trip.
And I've spent a half of the time in China.
I didn't imagine I would spend such a long time in China.
I want to continue riding as soon as possible.
But simply, I can't do it right now, because I've lost my passport !!
待望の新規パスポートは、
明日(5月2日)、受領できることになっている。
それから、中国出国のためのビザ交付を、さらに一週間待つ。
長い。。。
I'm going to get a new passport tomorrow.(2nd May)
Then I have to wait one more week for a Chinese Visa.
It's a looong waiting...
先のことを話すと、
今の計画では、ヨーロッパまでは自転車で旅をするつもり。
あと１年かけて行き、
来年の春、自転車で各国を走ってみたい。
(ヨーロッパは、春が最高だと聞いているから。)
時間的猶予の問題から、そのあとは自転車での旅をやめて、
南北アメリカ大陸へ行けたらいいと思っている。
自転車は、出会いの多い旅をするのに最高の道具だと思うけど、
自分にとって、絶対になくてはならないものではない。
そして、南北アメリカの旅を終えたら、
この旅生活も終わりにするつもり。
だいたい、あと2年の計画ということになる。
I would like to inform you about the whole plan for this trip.
My plan is quite flexible, but at the moment, it's like as follows:
I'll continue traveling by bicycle to Europe.
I'm looking forward to cycling around Europe in a spring season.
So I think I'll get to Europe next year, in spring.
It means I still have one year to get there.
Then I'll fly to America or Canada without my bike.
And travel North and South American continent by public transportations.
I prefer traveling by bicycle.
But if I continue riding until the end, the whole travel would be too long.
A bicycle is just a one of the convenient tools for me.
I think I'll finish this travel in about 2 years.
Maybe less, maybe more...
just, everything has never been fixed since the beginning.
すべてが、"だいたい"であるのだけど、
それは、旅生活を始めたときから変わっていない。
"偶然"と"なりゆき"を楽しみながら旅生活をして、3年。
後悔していることは、ひとつもないし、
成り行きでしてきたすべての寄り道に、意味と成果があった。
そう考えると、今の"待ち時間"も、有意義な時間に思えてきた。
ヨーロッパまであと1年なら、まだそんなに焦る必要もないように思える。
It's already been 3 years since I started traveling.
I've made lots of detours and spent much time than I expected.
But every detour I made gave me lots of good memories and nice friends.
I have nothing to be regreted in my travel.
Perhaps I still don't need to hurry.
そんなことを考えながら、
今は一日中、ホテルで英語と中国語を勉強中。
このホテル暮らし、なんと5月10日まで続けさせてもらえそう。
優雅なもんだと思えば、かなりラッキーである。
I'm still staying at a luxuary hotel in Dongguan city.
I have plenty of time to study English and Chinese here.
I think should be grateful for staying at such a nice hotel,
and having time to study.
Yes, I'm a lucky man.
ベトナム入国まで、あと約3週間。
中国滞在は、まだまだ続く。。。
I still have 3 more weeks in China until I get to Vietnum...
