イェとの出会い (Meeting Ye.)

１月１０日(火)　【旅１３６日目 / 中国４４日目】


体調がよくなったので、今日はやっと、嘉興を出発。

浙江省の省都、杭州までは、あと１００ｋｍ。


上海から杭州まで続く３２０号線を、今日も走る。

病み上がりのせいか、まだ少し頭がフラフラした。

I had stayed in Jiaxing for these 4days.

Today, I recovered from sick and started riding again.
It was about 100km from where I stayed yesterday to Hanzhou.
(Hanzhou is the capital city of Zhejiang province.)

Highway 320 (G320) reads me all the way to Hanzhou from Shanghai.
 

でも、今日は午前１０時に出発だったので、時間には余裕があり、

焦らずに時速２０ｋｍで、淡々と走った。


チンタオからここまでの１１００ｋｍ、ずっと海岸沿いを走ってきたので、

起伏はほとんどなく、道はひたすらまっ平ら。

中国の国道は、路肩がとても広いし、路面もきれいに整備されていて走りやすい。


体調が悪くても、時速２０ｋｍは余裕でキープできる。

(から、本当は、毎日もっとガンガン進めるはずなんだけど…)


I had ridden a bike for 1100km from Qingdao to here.
Because I had always chosen a rute along the sea,
The roads never had ups and downs so far.
And Highways in China has a wide sholder.
So it's been very easy to ride a bike here.
I can easily keep my speed over 20 km/h.



予定通り、１６時過ぎに杭州の市街地に入った。


早速、安い宿を探しながら、町の中心を目指して走る。


キョロキョロしながら、ゆっくり自転車を走らせていると、

後ろから自転車で抜いてきた若者に、声をかけられた。

I arrived in Hanzhou city at around 4 pm.
While riding towards the middle of the city, I was looking for a cheap hotel.
There were a lot of people riding a bike around me.
One of them, a yung chinese guy, talked me when he passed me.


「どこから来たの？」

"Where are you from?"


「どこへ行くの？」

"Where are you going?"


どちらも、もう百回くらいは聞かれた質問であり、

俺が聞き取れる、数少ない中国語の中の２つでもある。

I had been asked both of these questions so many times in China.
Although I couldn't understand most of chinese, I understood what he asked me.



「日本から来たよ。駅へ向かっているよ。」

"I'm from Japan. I'm looking for the city centre, maybe railway station. "


カタコトの中国語で返すと、

I answerd his questions in chinese.

Then he said,


「英語なら、ちょっとだけ話せるよ。駅まで案内してあげるよ。」

"I can speak English a little. Maybe I can show you how to get there."



と、うれしい提案。

彼(イェ)は、杭州が地元の大学生とのこと。


じゃあお願いと、彼について行きつつ、

杭州という街について、いろいろ教えてもらった。

I was glad to know he was able to speak English.
So I asked him to show me the way.

His name was Ye.
He was a university student  in Hanzhou.

He told me many things about Hanzhou city on our way to the station.


すると、

Then he said,


「これから、友達と夕飯を食べるんだけど、一緒に来ない？」

"I'm going to have a dinner with my friend. Would you like to join us?"


と、これまたうれしい提案。

もちろん即OKして、ホイホイついて行った。

It sounded interesting for me.
So I said, "Sure. Thanks!"

And he also asked me,


「宿、まだ決まってないなら、うちに泊まってもいいよ。」

"You can stay at my house tonight if you want."



おお、どうもありがとう。

"Sounds great ! Thanks Ye !"



文章にするとアホみたいだけど(笑)、


大まかな流れはそんな感じ。


It was like that.
We soon opened up to each other.



そういうわけで、イェと出会って二時間後には、

彼の友人と３人で、中華バイキングを食べながら談笑していた。


中国と日本の文化の違いや、俺が中国で見て驚いたことなどを話し、

中国でいろいろと疑問に思っていたことなどを聞いていたら、

あっという間に３時間経った。

勉強になったし、おもしろい話もたくさん聞けた♪


I enjoyed the dinner with his friend at a restaurant.
His friend was also nice friendly guy.

I was able to ask them what I wanted to know about china.
(I had many questions about chinese culture.)
They solved all of them.
I was able to learn more about China  from them.


お腹もいっぱいになったので、食後は杭州の観光名所「西湖」を散歩し、

イェの実家でお世話になった。

一般家庭とその暮らしぶりを見られる、いい機会でもあった。


今日は、また新しい友達ができて、楽しくいい一日だったな☆

After the dinner, they showed me around "West Lake",  the famous lake in Hanzhou.
Then I went to Ye's house.
He was living with his parents.
So I was able to learn about the way of  chinese family's living.

I enjoyed today and I've got a new chinese friend.

１月１１日(水)　【旅１３７日目 / 中国４５日目】


今日は、杭州にあるイェの家での目覚め。


昨日から大学が冬休みに入ったイェが、

午前中、西湖周辺を案内してくれた。

I stayed at Ye's house last night.

Winter vacation started from yesterday in Ye's university.
I cycled around "West Lake" with Ye in this morning.




 【イェも旅と自転車が好きなので、話がよく合う♪】

He also likes traveling and riding a bike.
So I can enjoy tolking to him.




【雰囲気が、韓国の友達ヨンくんに似ていて、】

なんか、ホントいいやつだな～っていう感じ♪

His atmosphere is similar to my Korean friend Young-kun.
Very kind and friendly.






【西湖は静かできれい。散歩やサイクリングにとてもいい。】

West Lake is calm and has good scinery.
It's a good place to walk and ride a bike.




【イェの知り合いの自転車店にもお世話になった】

A bike shop he showed me was nice shop as well.


イェに出会えたおかげで、杭州での一日は、とても楽しいものになった。

同時に、杭州が自分にとって特別な場所に思えるようにもなった。


やっぱり、旅の醍醐味は人との出会いだなぁ。

Thanks of meeting Ye, my stay in Hanzhou was enjoyable.
Hanzhou is one of special place for me know.

It's certain that meeting local people is one of the best event in my travel.

【中国の"へぇ～"】

中国といえば、１４億もの人口を抱える大国。

いまだに一人っ子政策を実施しているので、イェもザックも一人っ子。

兄弟を持てないなんて、なんか寂しいねっていう話もしたけど、

一人っ子の彼らは、二人まで子供を持てるとのこと。

逆に、自分に兄弟がいる人は、子供を一人しか作れないというルールらしい。


旅をしていて、中国には「制限」が多いなぁと、いろんな場面で感じる。
