東京から、車で９時間。
朝８時過ぎに、宮城県女川町にあるベースキャンプに着いた。
日本人が２人、外国人が３人のメンバーに、俺が加わって６人になった。
It took 9 hours by car to get to the base camp in Miyagi.
I arrived there at about 8 am.
There were 5 of volunteers in the base, 2 Japanese, 3 nonnatives.

荷物を置いて、早速、仕事に出発。
この日は、女川町の総合体育館へ行った。
I left my baggage in the base, then we left to start working.
That day, we went to the gym which is used as a shelter for the people who lost their houses in Onagawa town.
【避難所になっている体育館】
体育館で避難生活をしている人は、３５０人以上いた。
This is the gym.The numbers of the survivors who live in it was over 350.

There were a lot of tents and temporary houses around the gym.
【まずは、ボランティアセンターへ】
女川町でボランティアに任せられるのは、
瓦礫に埋もれていた写真(アルバム)を洗いや、大量に発生したハエの駆除、
瓦礫の撤去や草むしりなどなど、様々な仕事がある。
We went to the volunteer center nearby the gym.
The works we could help there were cleaning photos found in disastrous area,catching flies, removing rubble, weeding and so on.
この日は、ハエの駆除を担当することになった。
まずは、ペットボトルに、砂糖・酢・酒を混ぜた液体を入れて、罠を作る。
I took charge of catching flies on that day.
We made traps for catching them.
Making traps wasn't difficult.We made a hole on a plastic bottle first, then put sugar, vinegar and sake in it.
【そして、作った罠を木に吊るす】
We hung the traps on trees.
【黒いのは、全部ハエ】
The black stuff in the bottle are thousands of flies...
一日で、こんなボトル２０～３０本分のハエが捕れる。
We collected 20 - 30 numbers of the bottles like that just in a day.
【気持ち悪いくらい、ハエがいる…】
This is disgusting!

富士山には登ったし、
そろそろ、次の旅に出発しようと思っているんだけど…
ちょっとケーン号の調子が悪くて、装備をどうするか検討中。
もう１７０００ｋｍは乗っているので、さすがにあちこちボロくなってる。
出発は、来週かな～。
I was about to start next trip after finishing climbing Mt.Fuji.
But my bike wasn't ready for the trip.
I think I would leave my home in next week..
